Increase your work efficiency and quality using 3D models to create pixel art
I offer 3D-modelling and animation service
Examples
From character to vehicles! Easy perspective and cloth simulation rendering! 3D opens possibilities for pixel art!
How It Works
What you will get is a Blender file with your pixel-art-to-be model in it! All you need to know is how to move things around in pose mode in Blender!
(1) Open the file...... (2) Set up the pose...... (3) Render, DONE!
It's also possible to animate a sequence and have it rendered into .pngs
Why 3D to 2D
Take your work to the NEXT level!
Have an idea for a 2D game but lack the time or skill to create resources for it? Want to take your animations to the next level and implement highly-dynamic and complex shots to your work? You've come to the right place! With my services you can utilize a 3D model of a character/object/prop of your choice and easily manipulate and render it to get all possible poses in any angle you choose! See How It Works
Time
Making sprites is a very time-consuming process. Each pose needs to be made from scratch so a character with more than 100-frames can be very exhausting. Whereas with 3D, you only need to make the original model and rig the character to render them in any pose you want with minimal clean-up work, here's a rough idea of time spent for a character:
Amount of sprites | Do it by hand | 3D render |
---|---|---|
10 sprites | 1h 40min | 10 - 30min |
100 sprites | 16h 40min | ~2h - 5h |
1000 sprites | 166h | ~16 - 50h |
Flexibility
Are you in the middle of a project and realize you misplaced the arm, or should've rendered a sequence at a different angle? Simply tweak it, and you have it fixed in a few seconds!
Light and anatomy
Common mistakes in pixel art: "Wrong shades relative to the light source" and "Arm/leg too long/short/big/small or missing a shoulder/this/that. With a 3D model, you don't have to worry about going out of the character's anatomy unless you want to, and the shade will be as you set up the light source to be!
Pricing
The price of the request depends on the work that needs to be done. Everything from modelling, getting the material and shade right, and rigging.
Here are common factors that affect the cost:
Complexity of the design (amount of items/accessories involved)
Complexity of the shading/lighting.
Amount of rigging/skinning involved (Joints, body parts, hair etc.)

Before ordering
Be sure to read and understand the following before ordering. Feel free to contact me if something is unclear!
Requirements
Basic Blender knowledge: Being able to navigate and move things around. Here's a beginner user guide I made. You need Blender 2.79 or 2.8Being able to pay by Paypal.
Limitations of this method
Very small details might suffer. You might need to edit and add the details in your editing software. Outline might come out as small jagged lines and need some cleanup. The more details on the work the less it will be able to adapt to the light source and change shades.
